This is not terribly extensive, others words can only lead you up to a certain point. After saying it one way you can only repeat it again and again, there has only ever been one story.
Do not see me as some high force pointing down, I do not believe in education in that way. We are all on level plane, walking the same path. We have all seen different things, and the world is always changing, but there can be overlap. It is in Christ’s symbol of the fish that we see the overlapping circles that unite us, the vesica piscis flowers into life and unifies all elements; we seek first to know that unifying force before we go further, it is through this we develop our senses and make sense of the world. This is a communal and creative process, but in seeing the Self you realize it is present in all others, that there truly is no other and the Self expands into the infinite. We may each see new realities unique to us, never having that experience occur again to anyone. The realities become like this after breaking enough cyclic patterns of restriction, transcending morals of the herd, disconnecting from the group delusions — their self assured “reality”, these concepts of the layman are well and good for where they are, but we as waking animals must learn to dream new dreams. Lucidity is key. You may have found yourself disconnecting from it all, the so called matrix. For some that walled in garden has thin walls and only a few threshold guardians, they see outside it and may wander more freely in the world. For others we have broken out of prisons in the mind and have had scarring from missteps along the way, there are many possible experiences on the path, in books on such things you’ll see catalogued so many species of thorn bush to snag yourself on, so many kinds of wild dog to run from or stand your ground… point is, this is a complex game and has been going on as long as life has been, which may as well have been forever. This is not a material universe as proposed by scientism, I would hope you already know this otherwise the process of path working is sure to break some fuses in the brain — much of what we call insanity is reality brushing up against the models we have lodged in psyche, I learned this the hard way, it could have been worse. I was not struck with too many visions, I could walk and get around, my body generally behaved itself and didn’t land me in a mad house; some may hit these confusion realms and begin to think they’re really something, the mania kicks in, or the lows of darkness come for you, a “dark night of the soul”.
Whatever happens, know you will be fine. The faster, more thoroughly you align yourself to truth, the sooner your ailments will normalize. Stare the devil down, don’t lose your cool — as Daniel in the lions den we keep our eyes on God, and by that of course I mean what’s real. Study the Tetragrammaton, Manly P. Hall and his Secret Teachings of All Ages, Kabbalah, daoism, rosicrucianism, sufis, hermetics, Plato… theres so much to learn, and not everything is taught in books — though many books will point you toward practices that fill the gaps, you must be diligent and willing to participate. Do the meditation, the yoga, reading, journaling, etc. I have begun reading Introduction into Hermetics by Franz Bardon and that seems to be a thorough starting point to develop the senses to interact with truth. The senses as you’re born with them tend to be rather dull and must be refined through exercise, constructing many lenses to perceive with clarity. Most get by on these dull senses, be amazed by the stupidity of the world… but through this work you’ll shift them too, all will rise to know.
This is not an introductory course on metaphysics, this is not philosophy 101 and I expect you to have some study and experimentation under your belt already. If you are not a hardcore student and would like to see my thoughts, that is also fine. This may lack several key points, “what about this? What about that?”, I’m sure to gloss over things I either forget or don’t enjoy talking about. Many things can be true simultaneously yet hidden by veils of awareness, it would be inconvenient for the experiencer to perceive absolutely everything as if you were God; some claim they can or have done this or that a master they knew could do this, quite possible, there is no reason as to why the totality of experience couldn’t be reflected in a person of sufficient depth — I am not one of them.
The link to my notes below, which contains a thread between me and another, goes through much of what I believe in regard to first principles. Do consider this part of the article, continue reading here after.
God and Self are two primary concepts to be analyzed when beginning metaphysical inquiry, these two eventually merge and The One is made clear. The story of Hanuman is that of a devotee refusing to fully merge into God union and remain in the play of life, make what you will of this as Hanuman is likewise an aspect of God. These things will tie common logic in knots and get you nowhere. I can only provide my subjective experience of things, which will change as I evolve — every rung on the cosmic ladder is embedded with novel patterning, as we develop perceptual bodies infinitely so too do all maps and territory change — even the so called constants will change someday, but there are a few things which appear to remain consistent. There is an axis on which all spins. A third concept comes about as the world, creation, some call this maya or illusion but as with anything, words merely point. A key point is that there is not two, multiplicity is an illusion contained in The One, this does not mean the illusion is not real — everything you are currently identified with is part of this illusion: body-mind-spirit, familial relations, sense organs and their fruits, past-present-future, the terms of Self and God… this world is a great dance and much can be learned from it, I will not claim this to be pointless as many have, I am not a renunciate except for brief periods where asceticism is preferable to certain kinds of work. The Dao into the 10,000 things, from Rama to Krishna, white light and the rainbow, we are all That One.
I consider these ideas to be the basics, enlightenment and the realizations of primary Being are essential prerequisites to any worldly activity. I do not consider these pursuits to be the end all be all of life except for those who wish to transcend life and be free of it entirely — I am here aware that I will suffer, the dualities of light and dark and exploring each element of the diversified whole, I do not seek to end this, but to master it. The heavens and nirvana are well and good, strive for those if you want to. I seek to unite high and low, be rid of presuming some better place.
I Am what Is.
The only permanence in life is longing.
I defer to you being quite further along than me.
Still a great, if not advanced, read.
